AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
The objectives of this course are to provide the students with the fundamental principles of Mechanics, electric and magnetism to enable them to gain skills for problem solving and a scientific thinking, and to establish the foundations for further academic studies. |
COURSE CONTENT
Measurement, vectors, kinematics, dynamics-Newton’s laws, applications of Newton’s laws, work and energy, conservation of energy, conservation of linear momentum, collisions, Electric charge and electric field, Gauss’s law, electric potential and electric potential energy, capacitance and dielectrics, electric currents and resistance, direct current circuits and instruments, magnetism. |
